Becky Mallery

Hi there, my name is Becky Mallery and I am a student on the MSc in Applied Positive Psychology at the University of East London. I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Southampton which sparked my passion for the subject.

Since graduating I trained in several areas including Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP Master Practitioner), Thought Field Therapy and Hypnotherapy. After Training in NLP I assisted Paul McKenna on his London seminars helping individuals overcome weight difficulties and giving them skills to build their confidence. I later co-authored a book on the subject, ‘NLP for Rookies’, published by Cyan Books (2009). I now coach individuals through using my NLP skills and enjoy applying positive psychology to this area. I have a wide interest in all areas of positive psychology (too many to list here!), however, my main areas of interest include Emotional Intelligence, the study of Resilience, Post Traumatic Growth and Physical Activity which I am currently covering in my MSc Dissertation. I also give visiting lectures to universities on emotional intelligence and will be expanding the range of subjects I cover in 2009. Overall, I have a passion for psychology and helping people succeed in life confidently and flourish. I would love to connect with anyone who shares this interest!
