I qualified in 1980 and worked full time as an NHS GP Principal from 1988 to 2007. I am now taking a sabbatical from regular work to study for a master’s degree in positive psychology and pursue other interests outside medicine. I am continuing with part time GP work and as a GP mentor for Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery.
